Behavioral
Intervention Association (BIA), is a California 501 (c) (3) non-profit
corporation founded in 1993. Our mission is to provide individualized home/community
based programs, consulting, and training workshops that focus on development
and implementation of intervention plans for young children, diagnosed
with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our services are recognized by the professional community including
the Langley Porter Institute at University of California, San Francisco,
Children's Health Council at Stanford School of Medicine, and Children's
Hospital-Oakland as well as overseas in the UK, Ireland and the Philippines.
Home-based intervention programs are staffed by trained (in-house)
implementers with weekly supervision and bi-weekly program development
provided by managers and directors. In addition, we provide seminars,
trainings, workshops, consulting and support services to families,
school districts, and the community.
We believe early intervention programs and services are not a means
to an end, but a positive addition to the larger picture of which appropriate
classroom placement, community activities and family involvement are
seamlessly integrated. We also believe our programs and support services
can provide each individual child and family with the best possible opportunity
to reach their full potential. |
